Click Beetle
02nd Day 051/315: Birds & Bugs
This is an Eastern Eyed Click Beetle. When deterring predators it will make a clicking sound. When stuck on its back it can flip over by making the clicking sound which results from a “snapping motion” it makes by tilting back its “head” and then pulling it forward quickly. As you can see by the two large patches on its back, a predator might also take a second thought as it looks like the beetle has two large eyes, but it can also bite if need be. But their bite is harmless, {wikipedia.com}. I ponder the means by which we try to defend ourselves, .
(PQ): Do we falsify information in order to not be questioned? Are we the first to make the biggest fuss in order to have our own way?
Dear Heavenly Father, thank you for creative means by which this particular Click Beetle defends itself from being a meal. Please help us to rely on You for protection as we are to be a witness for right while being approachable. Please fill us with Your wisdom today; in the name of Jesus we pray, AMEN.
